Join us for the FM6k
October 21 – 22, 2023
The FM6K is a nationwide virtual two-day fertility awareness and fundraising event that rallies communities from coast to coast. Participants can choose a date, time, and location that works best for them – and then gather their friends, families, and co-workers for a walk, run, or bike together. It doesn’t matter where you live; this event is designed for you to be able to participate, no matter where you are!

“I’m so honoured to be a part of the FM6K as honorary chair. As someone who knows firsthand how difficult the fertility journey can be, it has become a lifelong mission to raise awareness, fundraise and normalize conversations around fertility.
“I’m so proud and inspired by the work the FM community does and the support it provides for so many, including myself, during my own fertility journey. I know together we can truly make a difference and I look forward to joining you for this year’s 6K.”
How FMC is Making a Difference
1 in 6 Canadian adults is impacted by (in)fertility, and often experience anxiety, depression, feelings of isolation, and financial burdens, as a result. The 6K distance was chosen to represent the 1 in 6 Canadians whose path to parenthood isn't straightforward. Currently, only 7 Canadian provinces provide funding to assist with some out-of-pocket expenses associated with fertility care.
All proceeds from the annual FM6K support FMC’s federal fertility advocacy strategy to achieve universal and equitable access to fertility care across all provinces and territories. aims to heighten public pressure on governments to recognize (in)fertility as a medical disease, the impact living with (in)fertility has on mental, physical, social, and economic health, and to support universal access to fertility care, education, and care providers across Canada.
